Start a camera move: run and record

Connect, select, start: the camera runs the route and records the video as it moves.

1. Connect the camera.
2. Tap the tile you want (select it).
3. Tap "Start".

The camera centres itself, runs the route and records while doing so. The status bar shows the progress (current waypoint, time, pan/tilt/zoom). Above the status bar the live view runs along, if enabled.

If the recording is set in the app (see the recording card), Pathset first sets up mode, format and focus, then the camera moves to the start point. Recording begins only once it has arrived.

To cancel, tap the button again (Stop).

Recording without editing: recording happens exclusively here via "Start". The editor only offers a preview (the same path without recording), so there is a single, clear way to record.

When a move does not start or stops

• "The camera is in time-lapse, photo or motionlapse mode …" In these modes the gimbal does not move or there is no video recording. Switch the camera to video, or set the mode in the recording card.
• "Recording could not be started …" Usually the camera is in photo mode. The move stops after a few seconds.
• "The camera did not reach the start point …" The camera stopped short of the start point. Disconnect, reconnect and start again.
• "Move interrupted …" (red line): the connection was lost, usually because the app was in the background or a call came in. Keep Pathset in the foreground during a move. The camera may still be recording; please check the camera and reconnect.
• "Connection briefly interrupted …" (red line): the camera briefly lost the connection and Pathset restored it after about two seconds. The move continues. If this happens often, please send us the diagnostic log.
