Device profiles

Pathset picks the right device profile automatically: nothing to configure.

For every supported camera, Pathset has a profile with measured characteristics (pan speed, zoom range and more) and selects it automatically based on the connected model. There is nothing to configure. Currently supported: Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Pocket 4, Osmo Pocket 4P and Insta360 Luna Ultra and Luna Pro (video only on the Luna Pro).

Osmo Pocket 3, 4 and 4P: the zoom range differs by model: the Pocket 3 zooms up to 2×, the Pocket 4 up to 4× and the Pocket 4P up to 12×, switching to the telephoto lens at 3× like the Luna Ultra. Pathset controls roll on all three models.

Insta360 Luna Pro and Ultra: their own profiles without roll control: the gimbal can roll mechanically, but the camera’s software does not currently expose roll for control, so the roll field is hidden. Centring returns the camera to 0/0. Timelapse (currently experimental) and TimeShift are available on the Luna Ultra only; on the Luna Pro Pathset offers video alone, because its firmware does not yet accept the required target angles. The Luna models differ in zoom as well: the Luna Ultra zooms up to 15× and switches to the telephoto lens at 3×, the Luna Pro has only one lens and zooms up to 4×.

If a path was created for a different camera model, a notice points this out: the path can still be played, but may look slightly different depending on the device.
